Staff:

Camp Director: Jackie Haines

Jackie began working at Mission Meadows in 2018 and has been appointed Director 2021. Jackie has a Master’s degree in counseling and has numerous years of experience working with children and families. Jackie enjoys camping, traveling, biblical studies, and spending time with family. As husband and wife, Steve and Jackie, feel that God has called them into a life of Christian camping ministry.

Assistant Camp Director: Michaela Gaylord

Michaela has been working in camping ministry since 2015 when she served her first summer as a counselor here at Mission Meadows! She has a bachelor’s degree in business from Penn State University. She met her husband, Joe, in 2016 while doing a ministry internship at Pilgrim Pines camp in New Hampshire. Michaela is an extrovert, but thrives on quality time with close friends and family. She does not drink coffee, but would love to sit down and chat with you anytime over a hot chai tea latte! Michaela enjoys any and all creative hobbies including writing and pottery. She has a love for camp and serving our guests year round, so if you see Michaela on the grounds – make sure you stop and say hello! 

Facilities Director: Steve Haines

Steve has been with us since joining the team back in 2017 and brought with him experience from two other Christian camps and years of working doing construction and maintenance. Steve is married to Jackie, and together they make a great camp duo! One of Steve’s favorite parts of camp life are his other duties which allow more interaction with campers and guests which include hosting, working with our volunteers, belaying on the rock wall and teaching archery.

Camp Facilitator: Joe Gaylord 

Joe is originally from Minnesota where he served four summers at Covenant Pines Bible Camp before moving to New Hampshire and serving three years on staff at Pilgrim Pines Camp and Conference Center where he met his wife, Michaela. Joe has a bachelor of arts in youth ministry from North Park University and has a passion for camping ministry. Joe is the swiss army knife of our staff, and serves in almost every area of camp including running our waterfront and assisting Steve on maintenance, as well as assisting in the office, on programming, and updating our technology here at Mission Meadows. If you are around in the summer season, you will likely hear Joe lovingly being referred to as the camp dad to all of our summer staff. Joe enjoys board games, reading, and ultimate frisbee in his free time. 

Food Service Manager: Kimmy Halberg

My name is Kimmie Hallberg. I grew up in Hartfield Ny, and spent my younger years, dying to get out of the small town, and experience life. I lived in Florida, California, S Carolina, and Kentucky before moving back to the area in the early 2000. I found that life on the lake in a small town is much better. I found the love of my life, married him, and bought a beautiful house in Mayville. Became  parents and grandparents, and spend our time with our 3 cats, and our 15 year old Beagle princess, Neela.

 

Office Manager: Kelly Dill 

Kelly is new to the staff in 2024 but has served as a volunteer at one of the camps at Mission Meadows for several years. She has her bachelor’s degree in Management from Houghton College and during most of her corporate career she was a HR Manager.  Kelly is now filling her desire to work for a faith based organization and have the freedom to pray for others at work. Kelly lives in Bemus Point with her husband, Ben.  Kelly loves her family and is Nani to four beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and getting to know new friends. Boating, golfing, and walking around Bemus Point are Kelly’s favorite activities for the summer, and the winter months include trips to Florida and extra entertaining of friends through dinner and game nights.  Baking is a year round passion!
