Mission Meadows Covid-19 Guidelines Day Camp

We are always grateful for the opportunity to partner with your family to provide a positive & memorable summer camp experience for your children. Keeping our campers & staff as safe as possible is at the heart of all we do.  We look forward to your family being a part of our summer programs in 2021. 

We’d like to share with you the ways we plan to adapt our practices, to mitigate the risk of spreading Covid-19. This plan was developed in accordance with health officials. Please be flexible with us as we continue to develop in knowledge, tools, and governmental restrictions. The following policies and procedures will be subject to change accordingly.

Before Camp

  1. Self-screen at home
  2. High Risk factors. Out of an abundance of care and precaution, campers with pre-existing conditions for complications with Covid-19 as defined by the CDC are strongly discouraged from attending 2021 summer camp. They should seek their healthcare provider before registering. These conditions include:
  • 65 Years and older
  • Live in a nursing home or long care facility
  • Chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma
  • Serious heart conditions
  • Severe Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Chronic Kidney disease
  • Liver disease
  1. 24 hours prior to coming to camp, all campers should have their temperature taken. Campers who register a temperature of over 100.2 degrees will not be allowed to enter camp.
  2. Complete all waivers prior coming to camp

During Camp

  1. Check-in line will have designated wait areas. Please stay in the designated area.
  2. Every camper will complete a wellness check. Temperatures will be checked with a non-touch thermometer.
  3. Waiver and screening form will be completed for each guest.
  4. Should a camper present with symptoms during camp, that camper, and all campers and staff in the living group, will be isolated and may be sent home.
  5. Campers and staff must wear cloth masks when activities require close proximity.
  6. Camp will adhere to regular and thorough prevention and sanitization measures as necessary, including regular use of spray disinfection in public areas .
  7. Camp will have a nurse on site for any questions or concerns

After Camp

  1. In the event of a Covid-positive camper or staff member, we will notify those exposed and actively participate in health department contact tracing. 
  2. We are asking that all families agree to notify us of any Covid-positive diagnosis of their camper or immediate family member in the 10 days following their camp experience so that we can notify our other campers families.

  1. Camp will adhere to regular and thorough prevention and sanitization measures as necessary, including regular use of spray disinfection in public areas .

  3. Upon arrival every person will complete a wellness check
  4. Every guest will wear a face covering when6 feet cannot be maintained
  5. Temperature will be tested with a non-touch thermometer
  6. Face covering is needed in all indoor space except for designated lodging
  7. Face covering will need to be worn when entering dining hall and at serving line. Face covering can be removed when seated, prior to eating
  8. Guest Group Policy
  1. All guest must register in the office
  2. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times
  1. Health and Hygiene 
  1. Guests are encourage to wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds
  2. Hand sanitizer will be available in frequent locations
  1. Self monitor
  1. All guest will self monitor for any Covid-19 or flu like symptoms
  2. In the event that a guest experiences any symptoms or have been in contact with someone who is suspected to have Covid-19, the guest must immediately notify Mission Meadows staff. Local health department will be notified and identity will be protected. The guest group will be asked to leave immediately and seek medical attention
  1. All guest are asked to follow the rules at Mission Meadows and all staff are asked to enforce the rules at Mission Meadows

After Camp

In the event of a Covid-positive camper or staff member, we will notify those exposed and actively participate in health department contact tracing
